The lessons learned from the spiritual path taken by a son and his mother are the focus of the play “Goode for Something,” to be presented at Sojourner Truth House in Gary.
Cast members are volunteers from the Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Gary, which has worked with STH before.
“It was time for our choir to do another play; we haven’t done one since 2005,” said church musical director Valerie Carr. “We thought it would be a unique outreach to not do this at the church, but select a way to really give back to a viable service organization in the community.”
